The International Projects Unit (IPU) is the focal point within OCS for the University’s international development support program. It is responsible for the management and administration of all development aid projects, consultancies and training programs conducted by the University QUT.
IPU provides non-award international corporate training programs for the public or private sector, corporations, businesses, Government institutions and professionals. Our training programs are customised specifically for the client’s needs and we offer a wide variety of professional development programs throughout the year.
Our mission is to identify, develop, market and provide consulting and training services in the design, formulation and implementation of projects and activities in the University’s fields of expertise.
IPU has strong linkages with a number of strategic alliances both within the University and with various government, private and non-government organisations within Australia and overseas. The unit has proven success and expertise in designing, delivering and managing customised training, capacity building and institutional strengthening programs, and an accomplishment in delivering benchmarking programs.
IPU is a significant player in the industry having strategically delivered a vast number of training programs and consultancy services in more than 44 countries in Asia, Africa, and the Pacific Islands. IPU manages projects ranging from small- to large-scale consultancy and training projects up to the value of AUD$20 million.
