The CRC and Research Infrastructure section can assist with:

CRCs

  • Information about the CRC Programme
  • Information about CRCs QUT is involved with
  • The negotiation of contracts relating to the establishment of a new CRC or renewal of an existing CRC that QUT is a participant in
  • The negotiation of legal aspects of research project agreements between QUT and the CRCs QUT is involved in
  • Working with the Commercial Research and Consultancy Projects Unit of OCS to establish accounts for CRC research projects
  • Overseeing payment of QUT’s cash contributions to CRCs
  • CRC Applications – the next CRC Application round occurs in 2008. Any QUT staff wishing to put forward an application in the next round should have submitted a Project Proposal to the Manager of the Office of Research.
  • Best practice guidelines for CRC involvement

Large Research Infrastructure Projects

  • Information on Large Research Infrastructure Projects QUT is implementing
  • Facilitation of implementation of these projects including contract negotiation
  • Working with Facilities Management on lease arrangements and design and construction considerations 
  • Working with Finance and Resource Planning on financial considerations
  • Working with researchers on design and budget issues

Sugar Research Group Support

  • Support for commercial research and consultancy projects being carried out for the domestic and international sugar milling industries
  • Preparing project schedules (pro forma contracts) for these projects
  • Establishing and managing the accounts for these projects.
